Circle of Iron Forge

I grew up as the scientist in a artistic family. I did not discover my right brain until I was forty; my left brain was burned out and a mid-life crisis was upon me.
First came the craft of blacksmithing, which was therapeutic and immensely satisfying. Then a style of work developed that was biomorphic, botanical and branching. Finally, a passion for sculpture evolved.
Now I like to say that I forge sculpture, furniture and anything in-between. I really enjoy working in that in-between space, where function, aesthetics and narrative come together.
